Special Events in February
February is Junior Fund Month and is loaded with special events. On Saturday 2/6/2010, we will run an ACBL International Fund Game where lots of masterpoints will be available. Please see our February 2010 Calendar or the Events page for new & up-to-date Club schedules.
Making ESBC the Best
During the past three years, we have continually updated the ESBC to make it one of the best clubs in the Pacific Northwest. Some of the changes include:
- Facility improvements such as new furniture, updated bathrooms and artwork
- Bridge Lessons and Special Games for new bridge players
- New game schedules that are stratified and open to all
- Pre-dealt Hand hands and hand records using Duplimate dealing machine
- Electronic scoring using BridgeMate scoring system
Sunday Swiss Teams, GNT Qualifying and Potluck - 2/14
Swiss Teams and a Potluck -- what could be better. Come join us on Sunday 2/14 for good food and great bridge. In addition, qualify for the Grand National Teams Events and possibly win a trip to the nationals. Get your team organized and signup at the front desk.
ESBC has gone Electronic
ESBC is one of the few Bridge Clubs in Washington State to use Electronic scoring (BridgeMate) and Pre-dealt Hands with printed Hand Records. Results were automatically collected and tabulated and final matchpoint scores were available when the last table finished! BridgeMate scoring is used at all nationals and it streamlines the scoring process. It is fun to use and only takes a few minutes learn how to use the machine.
We also feature pre-dealt hands and hand records for all of our regularly scheduled games. Printed copies are available after the game and on our website. Reviewing your results and the hand record is a great way to improve your game. See Hand Records for more details.
 Bridge Lessons Started in January!
Organized bridge lessons started in January 2010. Beginning Bridge classes (Tuesdays 7-9PM started 1/19) and Intermediate Bridge classes (Mondays 7-9PM started 1/25). For questions about bridge lessons, see the Lessons page, call us at 425-881-6110, or send an e-mail to eastsidebridge@verizon.net
Our club is fun, friendly and open to the public. We play bridge twice a day Monday thru Thursday, Friday morning, and then twice on Saturday. Please see our Schedule page to find a game that suits you best.
