BRIDGE BUDDIES
Bridge Buddies is a group of beginning bridge players that have completed the basics class, want to improve their game and have fun. We welcome experienced players who share their knowledge.
"The Buddies" meet two times a month on the first and third Saturdays at the Eastside Bridge Center: 8151 164th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052. For directions see http://www.eastsidebridgecenter.com
We play duplicate bridge and use bidding boxes so that we become familiar with tournament play. The hands are computer prepared and printed hand records are available at the end of the session. Normally no master points are awarded. However, we will have ACBL sanctioned games with master point awards about four (4) times a year. There is a $4.00 fee, or $6.00 for sanctioned games.
Our usual schedule is Potluck at 6:00, a short seminar about bridge at 6:30, and play at 7:00. We finish about 10:30. The potluck always includes a variety of tasty items. We provide coffee and tea, or you can bring your own non-alcoholic beverage.

Making ESBC the Best
During the past two years, we have continually updated the ESBC to make it one of the best clubs in the Pacific Northwest. Some of the changes include:
- Facility improvements such as new furniture, updated bathrooms and artwork
- Bridge Lessons and Special Games for new bridge players
- New game schedules that are stratified and open to all
- Pre-dealt Hand hands and hand records using Duplimate dealing machine
- Electronic scoring using BridgeMate scoring system
ESBC has gone Electronic
ESBC is one of the few Bridge Clubs in Washington State to use Electronic scoring (BridgeMate) and Pre-dealt Hands with printed Hand Records. Results were automatically collected and tabulated and final matchpoint scores were available when the last table finished! BridgeMate scoring is used at all nationals and it streamlines the scoring process. It is fun to use and only takes a few minutes learn how to use the machine.
We also feature pre-dealt hands and hand records for all of our regularly scheduled games. Printed copies are available after the game and on our website. Reviewing your results and the hand record is a great way to improve your game. See Hand Records for more details.
